The Missing Puzzle Piece for Doraville

Diversity is our strength; unity is our power.

To the residents of Doraville,

Hello, my name is Gerald Evans and I am running for Doraville City Council in this upcoming November election.

You may know me from serving on the Doraville Planning Commission. If not, here is some more information about me.

I have lived in Doraville for more than 15 years. I am Realtor and I served on the HOA board of my neighborhood for several years and still active within the community today. I am also a volunteer with the Atlanta Realtor's Association on their Governmental Affairs Committee where we fight for private property rights for homeowners and local ordinances.

I have a passion for serving and bringing people together, and that’s what I want to do on Doraville City Council.

On the Doraville Planning Commission, I have made recommendations that protect our neighborhoods and keep commercial and industrial businesses within their required districts. I have also made recommendations that allow new types of businesses to open in Doraville.

Doraville...It's such a great city that people love to visit for our unique foods and flair. But now, its time to get them to want to live here by bringing in more new modern types of housing and even more local businesses. I am a foodie, I love our restaurants but we could use even more types of businesses that drive up our are economic dollars.

Diversity is our strength; unity is our power.

No city is perfect and we have our challenges, but I am here to bring radical change and turn our challenges into purpose.

Let’s achieve the future we collectively want, Doraville.

Remember in November to vote. Now, this is a long ticket with the presidential, senate, and congressional races. Your local municipality of Doraville is on the same ballot so please stay to fill it out entirely. This is important because local elections have a more immediate effect on your neighborhood and area.

Remember in November to vote Gerald Evans for Doraville City Council.

Diversity is our strength; unity is our power.

my story...

A St. Louis, MO native, Gerald Evans studied Business Management at Hampton University in Virginia. Gerald moved to the area following college and has been a resident in the Doraville community since 2006. He runs a small business boutique real estate firm under the Keller Williams Atlanta brand.

Gerald, an appointed member of the Doraville Planning Commission, voluntarily serves the community regarding matters such as zoning ordinances, property zoning changes, land use, permits, etc.

To continue serving his community, Gerald is now also running for Doraville City Council in this upcoming November election.

As a Realtor, he has served on the HOA board of his neighborhood for several years and is still active within the community today. A long time member of the Big Brother Big Sisters of Atlanta, Gerald also often volunteered with Hands On Atlanta, Junior Achievement, and MedShare.

Helping others and living a life a service carries over into his professional life as well. He also volunteers with the Atlanta Realtor's Association on their Governmental Affairs Committee, a committee engaged in fighting for private property rights for homeowners and local ordinances. Gerald has a passion for serving and bringing people together, and that’s what he wants to do on Doraville City Council.
